This project involved the extensive renovation and extension of a mid-century residence in the heart of Belmont. Sloan Built managed the project from early planning and coordination through to construction and final delivery, carefully evolving the existing home into a refined and highly functional contemporary family residence while respecting the character and simplicity of its original architectural form.
The works centred around a substantial new extension incorporating an open-plan kitchen, dining and living zone, designed to create a strong connection between the interior spaces and rear outdoor areas. A new garage was also constructed as part of the addition, seamlessly integrated into the overall design language of the home.
Significant renovation works were undertaken throughout the existing dwelling, including the creation of a private master suite complete with ensuite and walk-in robe, along with a new office, retreat and reimagined entrance space. The internal layout was carefully reconfigured to improve flow, natural light and day-to-day functionality while maintaining a cohesive relationship between the original home and the new extension.
